Dr. Orin Harker is a General Dentist at Harker, Chan & Associates in Southeast (SE) Calgary
Dr. Orin Harker was born in Lethbridge and raised in Edmonton. He and his wife attended University of Alberta and he graduated with a B.Sc. and D.D.S. in 1979.
He then returned to Calgary to establish his dental practice, and along the way the Harkers had four sons and five grandchildren (and counting).
Dr. Harker has a passion for continued education training. Over his 30+ years of practice, he has attended as many courses as possible, with a focused interest in aesthetic dentistry.
In 1998, Dr. Harker had the good fortune of meeting Dr. Glenn Chan. Dr. Chan has become a partner in the practice and the two doctors make a great team.
Each of them have particular areas of interest and together they are able to offer a comprehensive range of dental services.
Outside of dentistry and raising his four boys, Dr. Harker has an avid interest in snow-skiing, water-skiing, motorcycle riding, family holidays, and organized sports such as basketball and soccer.
He is an active member of the LDS church and spends significant time in a leadership capacity.
Now that his boys are grown up, Orin has become a serious race car driver. His wife wishes he would golf or something, like a "normal" person. Instead, he drives a LeMans prototype race car once a month at speeds of 275kph in a Pro-Am racing series.
Dr. Harker loves his practice and the people he has served over the many years. He has no plans to ever retire!
