Dr. Glenn Chan was born in Brantford, Ontario and relocated to Calgary in 1981. He attended Bishop Carroll High School then completed undergraduate studies at University of Calgary in Cellular, Molecular and Microbial Biology.

From there, he was granted early admission to University of Alberta, Edmonton for the dental program. In 1996 Dr. Chan graduated with Doctor of Dental Surgery and returned to Calgary to practice.

Dr. Chan began practicing dentistry with Dr. Harker in 1998 and by 2002 was made a partner in the dental office. Since then he has continued his education and has received many certifications. Dr. Chan’s dental interests include oral surgery (wisdom teeth removal) and endodontics (root canal therapy).

Dr. Chan played classical piano for 15 years with the Royal Conservatory of Music as well as studied classical music theory and composition. In his spare time, Dr. Chan and his wife attend local venues, work out, and critique reality shows. They can also be found in local restaurants and movie theatres and chasing after their two children.

Dr. Chan holds memberships in the Canadian Dental Association, Alberta Dental Association, and Calgary District Dental Society. He loves practicing dentistry and meeting new patients each day.

Dr. Orin Harker was born in Lethbridge and raised in Edmonton. He and his wife attended University of Alberta and he graduated with a B.Sc. and D.D.S. in 1979.

He then returned to Calgary to establish his dental practice, and along the way the Harkers had four sons and five grandchildren (and counting).

Dr. Harker has a passion for continued education training. Over his 30+ years of practice, he has attended as many courses as possible, with a focused interest in aesthetic dentistry.

In 1998, Dr. Harker had the good fortune of meeting Dr. Glenn Chan. Dr. Chan has become a partner in the practice and the two doctors make a great team.

Each of them have particular areas of interest and together they are able to offer a comprehensive range of dental services.

Outside of dentistry and raising his four boys, Dr. Harker has an avid interest in snow-skiing, water-skiing, motorcycle riding, family holidays, and organized sports such as basketball and soccer.

He is an active member of the LDS church and spends significant time in a leadership capacity.

Now that his boys are grown up, Orin has become a serious race car driver. His wife wishes he would golf or something, like a "normal" person. Instead, he drives a LeMans prototype race car once a month at speeds of 275kph in a Pro-Am racing series.

Dr. Harker loves his practice and the people he has served over the many years. He has no plans to ever retire!

Dr. Spackman was born and raised in Calgary where he received his B.Sc before furthering his education in Australia completing his Bachelor of Dental Health Science followed by a Masters degree in Dentistry. During his training in the public sector in Australia Dr. Spackman developed a passion for oral surgery and endodontics.

His lovely wife Lindsey and him have two young energetic children at home with a third on the way so Dr. Spackman empathizes with the struggles of the bedtime brushing routine. Because of this he has a particular interest in modern treatment methods for children. He believes in offering low stress, positive and timely dental visits.

Growing up in Calgary Dr. Spackman had the good fortune to know Dr. Orin Harker for many years through church and as family friends. Dr. Harker was one of his first mentors in dentistry.

Outside of work Dr. Spackman stays active and loves to be in the mountains with his family any chance they can get. He is regularly involved as an active member of the LDS church and served a French speaking mission for two years in Quebec and Nunavut. For several years before dentistry he worked as a full time commercial adventure and travel photographer doing projects all over the world. He is still passionate about photography.
